A WORRY-FREE SYSTEM
DISTRIBUTION WITH CENTRO
Centro’s distribution mechanisms can be configured to do it all.
Ensure patient reports get where they need to be with Centro
Healthcare institutions typically have varying needs when it comes to the distribution of patient reports. That is why Centro provides a complete document distribution and workflow management system that is based on business rules that can be defined at many different levels. Regardless of the distribution type required, be it by print, email, fax, or export, Crescendo handles it all.
For printing needs, distribution can be set at the processing level of Facility, Department, or Work Type, with definitions for originals, copies, and CC lists recipients. Reports can even be set up to be printed at nursing units.
Email distribution can also be defined, on top of other methods of distribution. At any time, the user within Centro can even use the CC list feature to add an email recipient for a carbon copy. The Centro Inbox feature can also be used, ensuring that carbon copy recipients receive documents directly in their Centro inbox, saving the step of having to go to a third-party system.
Distribution by fax is based according to the prioritization of reports by Work Type, Department or Facility. Faxes can be sent immediately or on a configured schedule. If a connection is already established, and additional fax copies are pending, they will be sent during the current connection.
Centro automatically handles distribution of draft and final reports for almost any type of export option. No actions are required by the end-user, and everything is processed in the background by the system. Export options can include PDF, RTF, HL7, etc. The exported document can be importable into a third-party system so it can become accessible as part of the patient record in the facility’s EMR. In addition, all distribution activities are logged to allow for a simplified tracking and troubleshooting experience.
The distribution engine can handle scheduled deliveries, send password protected emails, fax, and export to different formats, and everything is defined by business logic for routing at the time the document is filed. If distribution is backed up for any reason, an alert can be sent out notifying supervisors. Moreover, additional distribution engines can provide load balancing and handle the most extensive workloads, ensuring that there is never a significant backlog of documents to be distributed and a speedier output.
